CAVEA
Ghent BE
03 - 11.10.2026
Weekdays 2 pm – 7 pm
Weekend 11 am – 7 pm
Saturday, 3 October:
Guided tour by DUDe and BRUT Collective at 3:30 pm
Vernissage 4 pm – 7 pm
Former Government House, Gouvernementstraat 1, Ghent
Free admission
Following Arena at the Broeltoren, Cavea once again takes up residence in a historically significant building. In the former council chamber of Ghent’s Government House, this group exhibition transforms a place of governance and decision-making into a space for encounter, plurality of voices, and collective wonder.
Rather than focusing on the stage or the arena itself, BRUT Collective and DesignUnDisciplined turn their attention with Cavea to the stands. While seating in ancient times was often arranged according to social class, the exhibition deliberately sets aside such strict categorisation.
On its benches, Cavea makes room for people, things, machines, nature, and all the hybrids in between. The exhibition explores symbiosis in a world where polarisation and individualisation are thriving.
☞ REGISTRATION guided tour and / or vernissage
